It helps to include what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead — and the name of the card if it is about a specific one.
A card scanned as the wrong card
It happens, and more often than we would like. The scanner compares your photo against the card artwork, and the right card is in its top three suggestions about 80% of the time — which means roughly one scan in five needs you to pick from the list or search by name instead.
That is why it never adds a card without asking you first, and why the alternatives are shown as equals rather than hidden. If none of them are right, “none of these” is a real answer and it is worth tapping — it is recorded, and it is how the matching gets better.
Filling the frame with just the card, on a plain background, in even light, makes a noticeable difference.
A price looks wrong
Twelve Pocket does not set prices. Card prices come from the public market data we are permitted to use, and they are the asking and selling prices of other people — so they move, and they disagree with each other.
Two things we do on purpose, because the alternative is worse: a card with no reliable price says so rather than showing a zero or a guess, and a price that is somebody’s asking price is labelled as one and kept out of your totals. Asking prices run high, and quietly folding them in would make your collection look worth more than it is.
Graded cards are the hardest case: there is no reliable public price for most of them, so rather than invent one we show what you paid and link you out to look at real sales.
A number shows a dash instead of a figure
A dash means not known, and it is almost always because no cost was recorded for that card.
Profit needs two numbers: what it is worth and what you paid. Without the second one there is no answer, and showing zero would be an answer — the wrong one. A card bought for nothing would report its entire value as profit, which would quietly inflate every total on the screen. So a dash it stays until you tell it what you paid.
Getting your data out
Everything you have put in can be exported as a spreadsheet, at any time, on the free plan — your cards, what you paid, and your sales. It is your collection and it should never be stuck in here.
On the phone it is in Settings; on the website, under your account.
Deleting your account
Email nitishajay@gmail.com and say so, from the address the account uses. Everything attached to it is removed. If you would like a copy of your data first, export it or ask and we will send it.
